The Sentral for Parents app is available on iPhone and Android. The Parent Portal works on any device with a web browser – no download is needed. One account works for both.

Update the Sentral app on your device.

Open the app and search for your school.

Enter your Parent Portal username and password and tap Log In – you're ready to go.

Download the Sentral for Parents app from the App Store or Google Play.

Enter your Parent Portal username and password and tap Log In – you're ready to go.

Download the Sentral for Parents app from the App Store or Google Play.

Open the app, search for your school, and tap Next.

Tap Register here and enter your details, then tap Create Account. This creates both your app and portal login in one step.

Check your email for a confirmation link and verify your account.

Log in and enter the access keys provided by your school to link your children.

I've forgotten my password
Open the app, search for your school, tap Login, then tap 'Forgot Password?' and follow the prompts to reset your password.

I've forgotten which email address I registered with
Contact your school's Sentral administrator – they can look up the email address on your account. Alternatively, register again with a new email address and request new access keys from your school.

I no longer have access to my registered email address
Contact your school's Sentral administrator to update your email address or register again with a new address and request new access keys from your school.

Can I use my Parent Portal login for the app?
Yes. Your portal and app login are the same – one account works for both.
Registration & access keys

What is an access key and where do I get one?
An access key is a unique code provided by your school that links your child to your account. Contact your school's Sentral administrator to request one.

Do I need to add my children to the app manually?
If you already have a Parent Portal account, your children will appear automatically when you log in. First-time users need to enter an access key from their school to link their children to the account.

My children attend different schools – can I manage both in the app
Yes. Go to My Schools in the app, tap the + icon and follow the prompts to add additional schools. You can switch between schools freely and receive notifications from all of them.
Using the app

Can I report my child's absence through the app?
Yes, if your school has enabled this feature. Contact your school if you're unsure whether absence reporting is available to you.

Can I message my child's teacher?
Yes, via the Messages button on the Home Screen – if your school has enabled this feature. You can also view, upload, and share documents within a conversation.

Can I make payments in the app?
Yes. Tap Payments to access school fees, excursions and activities. You'll be taken to a secure page to complete your payment.

Can I order canteen lunches through the app?
Canteen ordering is available through StudentPayPlus at schools that have enabled it. Check with your school to see if this feature is available to you.

Does my school use the Sentral for Parents app?
The app is available at schools that have subscribed to Sentral and enabled the Parents app. Contact your school directly to confirm whether it's available.
Troubleshooting

The app isn't working on my phone
Delete the app and reinstall it from the App Store or Google Play, then log in again. If the problem continues, contact your school's Sentral administrator.

The app doesn't load properly on school Wi-Fi
School internet filtering can occasionally block the app. Try using mobile data or home Wi-Fi to confirm. If switching networks resolve it, ask your school's IT administrator to whitelist the required address.

My children aren't showing in the app
Log in to the web Parent Portal and check if your children are visible there. If they're not showing in the portal either, contact your school's Sentral administrator.

My absence notification didn't reach the school
Check if you can lodge absences in the web Parent Portal. If the issue persists there too, contact your school's Sentral administrator to report it.

I can't see calendar events or school documents
Log in to the web Parent Portal and check if the same content appears there. If it doesn't, contact your school's Sentral administrator – they control what content is published to parents.
